Hello Honey Creek!
The Honey Creek PTO is excited to announce our 4th annual Walk-N-Run-A-Thon fundraiser! The event will take place on Saturday, October 18th, from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.
Last year, with about 30% student participation, almost $9,000 was raised in just seven short hours of exercise! This year our fundraising goal is $12,000. We’re all aware of how state funding cuts to education are impacting our children and teachers. This is our chance to help alleviate some of the financial stresses Honey Creek is facing. Somehow, our amazing administration team has managed to continue funding all the events and activities that help make our school so special, but they need our continued support.
The PTO continues to make some tough decisions on funding Direct School Support (classroom supplies, field trip transportation, replacing outdated technology, etc) versus enrichment activities such as Earth Day, the Welcome Picnic, Middle School Celebrations (8th grade trip, dances & graduation) and all the events and activities our theme committees provide to our community every year. Let’s raise enough money to continue to do it all!
