Brought to you by Honey Creek’s Arts Committee and the PTO, Talent Night is Honey Creek’s really big night… featuring a delicious dinner, an exhibition of student art, fun, frivolity, and a very special student Talent Show (including dance, music, comedy + more!).
With help from parents, Honey Creek Talent Night is planned, produced & performed by Honey Creek kids and supports the annual eighth-grade trip. Also – returning this year! – the Middle School Second Act, a select showcase of talented middle school performers, debuting later in the show at this year’s Talent Night. Learn more in the FAQ.
Talent Night is also a showcase for Honey Creek’s ongoing program of Life Skills classes. Often taught by parent volunteers, Life Skills classes are specialized middle school elective courses that offer students increased choice and responsibility for their own learning. Starting ten weeks prior to Talent Night, the talent show crew begin planning this year’s show in the Talent Show Life Skills class. Students learn to run a soundboard; practice hosting a show; organize auditions and more. Meanwhile, the Talent Night dinner crew study cooking techniques in the Cooking Life Skills class and plan for the festive meal.
