Farm to School

“FARM-TO-SCHOOL DAY” ROCKS!

Thanks to our awesome lunch staff and great parent volunteers a different, seasonal, locally grown, Michigan fruit or vegetable is featured in our cafeteria every month of the school year. Hooray! Honey Creek’s “Farm-to-School” Day happens the first Thursday lunch period of the month and is dedicated to taste-testing and learning more about the featured veggie or fruit through activities and handouts. A local farmer or speaker comes into the classrooms on some months, as well, to create a richer experience for the students.
